DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: A Homeschool? How? Seminar will be held at the Mesquite Main Library, 300 West Grubb Drive on Saturday, July 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 Noon.  Led by Mrs. Shari Nelson, the free Homeschool? How? Seminar provides direction and information for those who are interested in home educating their children.  Families and caregivers with children from pre-school to high school will learn about the requirements and laws in Texas, especially transitioning into high school.  Discussions include time management, learning styles, curriculum choices, socialization, and financial responsibilities of a homeschooling family.  Mrs. Nelson is the current Director of Education and President of the Christian Educators Resource Center in Rowlett, Texas.  She has homeschooled her four children for the past 13 years and taught co-operative classes to homeschoolers. Drawing on her experience, Mrs. Nelson wants to enlighten, support and encourage home educators in the Northeast Texas area.
